PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Steelers are searching for more points to go with all those yards they’re piling up.
The Steelers are fourth in the NFL in total offense through five games but are only 18th in scoring. Pittsburgh has struggled crossing the goal line at the end of long drives. The Steelers have turned only 43 percent of their possessions inside an opponent’s 20 into touchdowns.
Coach Mike Tomlin says his team needs to become more efficient in the red zone. Pittsburgh converted just one of their four possessions in the red zone into a touchdown in last week’s narrow 17-9 win over Jacksonville.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says it comes down to execution and hope to be better on Sunday in Cleveland.
